“Our computer system allows us to look into who is buying what and we have discovered that buyers of discount tickets are 50-50 foreign guests and Icelanders. We are looking forward to welcome lovers of the Icelandic horse from all over the world. The preparations are going as planned and needless to say, nobody has to worry about the volcanic eruption in the South of the country, which is not affecting the Skagafjordur area in the North at all,” says Jona Fanney, pleased that this year’s Landsmót is being held at Vindheimamelar far away from Eyjafjallajökull-glacier where the volcanic eruption is taking place.
The tickets are sold online only at https://landsmot.grapewire.net/. It is a simple way to purchase your ticket and get a good discount of the full price at the same time.
Weekpasses and weekendpasses are available at the online ticket sale. Tickets for youngsters 14 – 17 years are sold at a lower price and tickets for children 13 years and younger are free of charge. Landsmótsguests can also purchase tickets online for seating and space at the camping site.
The online discount ticket offer is available until May 1st 2010. Each ticket bought before that time will also be valid as a lottery ticket.
