“We have various horses at all stages, both young and promising as well as older and more experienced horses”,says  Sigurður Sigurðarson in Þjóðólfshagi. “Our goal is to take some to the breeding judge, to the Gæðingakeppni, the tölt and to the pace at Landsmót in Vindheimamelar this summer.
To name a few, Drífa frá Hafsteinsstöðum is one of them, also Freyðir from the same farm and Spá frá Skíðabakka I.  Kjarnorka frá Kálfholti will probably be set up in the B-class and Tölt.  The Djákna-daughter, Blæja frá Lýtingsstöðum is a promising mare as well as the Þorra-daughter Hera frá Stakkhamri”.
Sigurður says the the A-class is still uncertain, but claims that he might have a “secret-weapon” there.  “It will clear out, when we get closer to the spring!”

“Concerning the breeding horses, I do have a few of 4 years old mares and within few weeks I will see what will be.  Their fathers are, for an example, Akkur frá Brautarholti, Eldjárn frá Tjaldhólum, Þóroddur frá Þóroddsstöðum, to name a few” says Sigurður Sigurðarson.

It is obvious and clear that the unique atmosphere of Landsmót has energetically also spread out at the farm in Þjóðólfshagi.
