In the year 2001 it was decided to establish a company (LLC) to run Landsmot.
The owners are the Farmers Association of Iceland (BÍ), which has a share of 1/3, The Icelandic Equestrian Association (LH) has 2/3 of the ownership. LH is an umbrella organization for all the riding clubs in Iceland.
The first Landsmot organized and run as a company was at Vindheimamelar in year 2002.
