Applications Open for Media Accreditation at Landsmót

Members of the media are hereby invited to apply for media accreditation to cover one of the country’s largest cultural and sporting events, Landsmót 2026, which will take place at Hólar from July 5–11.

Landsmót is a unique event where the Icelandic horse, culture, and competitive spirit are showcased at their very best. The event offers diverse and exciting content for the media, whether for news coverage or photography, all set in the beautiful and historic surroundings of Hólar.

Media Accreditation Applications

Applications must be submitted via a Google Forms application, which can be accessed on the event’s official website. Media professionals are encouraged to complete their applications carefully, as they will be reviewed by the Landsmót organizing committee and the media representative.

The application deadline is June 17, 2026. Applications received after this date will not be considered. Applicants whose requests are approved will receive confirmation by email along with further information.

Media Facilities

Facilities with wireless internet access will be available for media personnel at the event site. Media representatives are expected to bring their own equipment, such as laptops. The organizers of Landsmót at Hólar are not responsible for equipment left unattended on site.

Photographers

Access for photographers to competition arenas will be limited, and only a certain number of photographers will be allowed on the field at any given time. Further details regarding organization and access will be provided on site.
