Hannibal frá Þúfum was awarded First Prize for Offspring and ranked as the top stallion in the class at Landsmót Hestamanna 2026. With an outstanding group of offspring, Hannibal confirmed his position as one of the leading breeding stallions.

During the award ceremony, Hannibal's owners and breeders, Mette Mannseth and Gísli Gíslason, led his offspring group into the arena and received the Orri Trophy, which is presented to the stallion that ranks first among those awarded First Prize for Offspring at Landsmót.

The Orri Trophy is awarded in memory of the legendary stallion Orri frá Þúfu, whose influence on Icelandic horse breeding has been profound both in Iceland and internationally. Receiving this prestigious award is therefore a great honour for any breeder and owner. The trophy was presented on behalf of the family by Anna Berglind Indriðadóttir from Þúfa in Landeyjar.

Landsmót Hestamanna congratulates Mette Mannseth and Gísli Gíslason on this remarkable achievement.
