The HorseDay app has undergone significant development in recent years and is now handling all competition results at horse events in Iceland. HorseDay has replaced the old Landsmót program, which is no longer published in print. In the app, users can find all information about Landsmót in one place.
Áskell Heiðar Ásgeirsson, Managing Director of Landsmót, and Oddur Ólafsson, Managing Director of HorseDay, signed a partnership agreement for this summer’s event at Hólar.
Áskell Heiðar says the collaboration highlights that service to guests, riders, and supporters is a top priority and ensures that all information from the event is delivered to app users in real time—whether it concerns competition results, breeding shows, schedules, or announcements.
“We at HorseDay are very excited to be part of Landsmót this summer. Our goal is to provide clear and accessible information and give people better insight into the event, whether they are attending in person or following from home. This winter, we have been developing and testing an exciting new feature called ‘The Audience Judge.’ With it, spectators can actively participate in the event by judging performances in the adult classes. It makes the experience more dynamic, engaging, and brings people even closer to the competition,” said Oddur Ólafsson at the signing.
