Information on access to campsites with electricity

Due to heavy rainfall over the past few days, the fields at the campsites are very wet. For this reason, additional access routes to the electric camping areas have been opened in order to improve access for guests and reduce pressure on individual entrances.

This applies especially to Area A, which is the front section of the campsite, from Þráargata through Kjarvalsgata. Guests are asked to use the new entrances, as additional entrances to Area A have been marked in red on the image below. Vehicles should first enter the riding path and then cross the ramp onto the fields.

Work is underway to add gravel to the access tracks, especially at the main pressure points, in order to improve conditions and make traffic around the area easier.

The older entrance to Area B is open and has been reinforced with gravel. An additional entrance has also been opened to Area C, which extends from Erlugata through Baldursgata, as shown in red on the image.
