The preliminary round of the teenage class Gæðingakeppni has now completed. This is the largest class on Landsmót this year, with no fewer than 125 riders entered. It is safe to say that an impressive and highly competitive preliminary round has come to an end.
Leading the field after the preliminary round is Kristín Rut Jónsdóttir riding Straumur frá Hofsstöðum, representing hestamannafélagið Sprett, with a score of 8.74. Close behind in second place is Róbert Darri Edwardsson aboard Rökkvi frá Hólaborg, representing hestamannafélagið Geysir, on 8.70. In third place is Linda Guðbjörg riding Prins frá Ljósafossi, also representing hestamannafélagið Geysir, who also received a score of 8.70.
A minimum score of 8.48 was required to qualify for the semi-finals, securing a place among the top 30 riders.
