Sonik will be responsible for technical services at Landsmót at Hólar in 2026, and Rúnar Birgir Gíslason will serve as Technical Director.

Sonik and Landsmót have signed an agreement under which Sonik will handle all technical processing and technical services at Landsmót at Hólar in the summer of 2026. The company has extensive experience in technical matters at the event, having been responsible for all technical services at Landsmót events since 2008.

Skagafjörður native Rúnar Birgir Gíslason will be the Technical Director of Landsmót. He has vast experience in technology and with Landsmót, having first been involved in the technical aspects of the event in 2002 and first serving as Technical Director in 2012.

Technical services are extremely important in the organization of Landsmót. Sound, video production, large screens, and the dissemination of information to guests are key factors in ensuring the event runs smoothly, and LM looks forward to good cooperation with Sonik under the strong leadership of Rúnar Birgir.
