Day of Culture and Breeding in Skagafjörður - Program

On Sunday, 12 July, immediately following Landsmót 2026, visitors will have a unique opportunity to discover the rich traditions of horse breeding and culture for which Skagafjörður is renowned. Throughout the day, numerous Icelandic horse breeding farms and cultural attractions across the district will open their doors and welcome guests.

Lífland Brings a Week of Entertainment to Landsmót

There will be something for everyone at Landsmót at Hólar from 5–11 July, as Lífland presents a packed entertainment programme alongside the competition throughout the week.

Hólar University and Skagfirðingur Formalise Partnership for Landsmót 2026

Klaufar to Perform at Landsmót

The country-pop band Klaufar is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The band will perform at Landsmót hestamanna at Hólar in Hjaltadalur on Friday, July 10, and later this autumn will mark the milestone with a special anniversary concert at Bæjarbíó in Hafnarfjörður on Friday, September 11.
